EXEMPTION FOR TEACHERS.

WELLINGTON, June 25. At the Second Wellington Military Service Board to-day applications for exemption of two teachers of Banks’ College were heard. The chairman, Mr Poynton, said: “Our reconstruction after the war must be founded on education. The Germans are not sending school teachers to the front, and notwithstanding their terrific financial obligations are increasing expenditure on education. They recognise the value of education. It is essential that our young men should be efficiently trained. Ihe decision in both cases was adjourned sine die.
