LORD HARD INGE’S POSITION

In the House of Commons Mr Balfour stated that Lord Hardinge had not yet resigned from the Foreign Office and would not be temporarily retired. It- had never been the intention to transfer Lord Hardinge from Paris to any other diplomatic post. The Mesopotamian report could be debated next week.
PRO-HUN PLOT IN AMERICA
United Press Association—Copyright (Received July 3, 11 p.m.) NEW YORK, July 2. The Government believes that it has unearthed a pro-German plot to wreck the steamers on the GreatLakes, thereby delaying the military organisation and the shipment of food and munitions. Two vessels were sunk at the mouth of the Soo river ancl there have been other peculiarly suspicious accidents.

RACIAL RIOTS AT ST. LOUIS
Neuter’s Telegrams. (Received July 3. 11 p.m.) VANCOUVER, July 2. It is estimatedi that two hundred negroes were killed in race riots at St Louis. The Militia has been called out.
