GISBORNE CLUB

The first two heats in the Kennedy Memorial Fours, Gisborne Club, were rowed last- evening over the Waimata course and resulted iu r a fiber easy wins in both cases. _ G. Fromm (str.), H. Muir, Donald and Nesibitt met J. Dods (str.), Carmine, Church and McLauchlan. Both crews got away well and Fromm went ahead from the beginning and won by a length and a half without much effort. /Jim Somerton (str), Jack Somerton, C. Colley and Hennessy rowed Oxenham (str.), Milne, Roberts and Peters Oxenham got the best of the start and the crews were 'about even at the rotunda, when Somerton set a quicker stroke and won as he liked. Langridge meets Seeats at 1 p.m. to-day.
