Further details from Doxato state that others saw babies thrown from windows on to the bayonets of Bulgaiian soldiers. The massacres went on all day, and several officers and civilian officials participated. Then the troops, laden with booty, marched out preceded by a party of soldiers carrying the babies impaled on the bayonets. Two priests were massacred in their church.
