Shops are being closed, and the position is inflammable. It is evident that- Turkish and Montenegrin policies regarding Albania are in open conflict. Montenegro contends for 5 an autonomous Albania under the suzerainty of Montenegro as the only rational policy. Shevket Pasha, Turkish Minister for War, in a speech, declared that an -independent Albania could l not exist wjthou t- Turkey, whilst Turks also realised that they could not remain in Europe without the support of the Albanians. The murderer of Captain iSchlichting, German instructor to the Turkish army, has been sentenced to death, and will be executed forthwith. r
