PTOMAINE POISONING
A FATALITY.
.(Per Pjross Association.) Palmerston North, last night. A number of oases of ptomaine poisoning ocourred in Palmerston a week ago. To-day as the result of eating pressed toDgue, purchased at a local pork butcher’s on Saturday, the death occurred of one of the viotimp, O. Hoeking, an elderly man, aad an oil rosideot of this district. o:her members of deoeased’s family have been seriously affected from the samo oause, but like a’l the other cases reported, are now practioaily well again. An inquest will be held to morrow.
