GUDGEON BEATS WALKER—TAYLOR BEATS GUDGEON.

There was cent ral interest in the International Championships, and an attendance of twenty-five thousand. Tho match between Gudgeon and Walker, to decide who would meet Major Taylor, resulted in a win for Gudgeon, who, making a phenomenally last finish, heat Walker by a length and a quarter in 2.3 2-5. Gudgeon then tackled Taylor in the first ovent, a mile, paced. Taylor won by three lengths in 2.2 25. In tho second evont of a rniio ho was unpaccd. Taylor won by a similar distauco in 2.12 3-5. The winner hold Gudgeon easily, He displayed magnificent form, and reccivod an ovation. Taylor also won the Taylor Plato, Walne being second, and Walkor third. Chalmers ran second to Taylor in the qualifying beat.
