The Daily Express slates that, the object in the Panther was to capture the Venezuelan gunboat Miranda which was concealed at Maracaibo. ’ During an hour’s conflict one hundred and twenty shots were exchanged between the fortress and the Panther.
The fortress was a little damaged, while the Panther was damaged considerably.
