GERMAN URANIUM SMUGGLERS CAUGHT
BERLIN, July 24
The West German border police said at Holmstedt today that they had arrested two men trying to smuggle uranium valued at several million marks into ihe Soviet zone. The uranium was confiscated. The two men who were arrested after the police had been tipped off by a third person were taken to Brunswick for further questioning by the British public safety authorities. Allied officials said it was the great est smuggling attempt of this kind ever made.
