Ceylon Tea Market Postponed
COLOMBO, July 24
The Ceylon tea market has been postponed indefinitely pending clarification of the position resulting from the imposition of 15 cents per lb. export duty announced in the Budget' this month. Traders are uncertain whether they are liable for duty on forward sales contracted before the Budget and have asked the Finance Minister to receive a deputation to discuss the tax position generally.
