GOOD SCORING IN TURANGANUI GOLF
Excellent cards were returned by members or the Turanganui Golf Club at the week-end. The men’s medal competition was won bv H. Croskery with 78-13-65, followed by P. Stowess, 92-22-70, T. Te Kanawa, 79-9-70. and M. Doyle, 90-20-70. A four-ball bogey match was won by, T. Te Kanawa and B. Corbett, 6 up. In the L.G.U. medal round. Miss E. Ogilvie with a round of 96-30-66 reduced her handicap by four strokes. Miss J. Ria took second olace with a round of 97-27-70. The women's Stableford was won by Mrs. P Halbert 30 points, with Mrs. E. Dewes. 29 points, in second place. The C Section winners were Mrs. A. McGhee and Mrs E. Ellis The draw for the semi-finals of the Hetekia Cup competition is:—B. Corbett v T. Te Kanawa, the winner to play-off the final with R- Halbert._ The flight semi-finals are: —E. Goodwin v C. Pore: R. McCullough v A. Ford. Next week end (he club will visit the Tolaga Bay club for a match. The bus leaves the" club-house at 8 a.m.
