NAVAL PRIZE MONEY ABOUT £5 EACH

WELLINGTON. June 23

The payment of prize money to men who served in the Royal New Zealand Navy during the war and who are eligible for it will begin as soon as a firm figure of the amount involved is received from the United Kingdom, it was stated in Wellington today. The allocation is not likely to be more than £5 apiece. Tne Air Force's share of the prize money is being paid into a trust fund for distribution to any organisation which uses its,funds for the of members or ex-members of the R.N.Z. A.F. or the dependants of men who served in the R.N.Z,A.F. during the war.
