GUNMAN WOUNDS NAIROBI COUNCILLOR.
(10 a.m.) NAIROBI, April 2, An unidentified African gunman last night shot Nuchohi Gikonyo, an African Nairobi city councillor, a few hours before he was due to present the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester with an address of welcome to the city, Gikonyo was wounded in the right hand.
Guarded by police and with his hand bandaged, Gikonyo read the address to the Duke this morning in the African quarter.
