VICE-REGAL FISHING HOLIDAY AT TAUPO
(P.A.) AUCKLAND, April 3. Yesterday afternoon the GovernorGeneral and Lady Freyberg returned to Taupo from Waihaha in the western bay of Lake Taupo where they had spent a week on a fishing holiday as the guests of Mr. S. H. Richwaite. Altogether 102 fish wore taken by the vice-regal party, averaging slb. Several 71b. fish were included. His Excellency took the largest one of 7tlb. A large box of fresh fish was sent to the Rotorua Hospital. The party left immediately for Chateau Tongariro and spent the night there. They left for Wellington today.
