WHEAT DEAL WITH N.Z. COST AUST. OVER £7,000,000
(11 a.m.) CANBERRA, March 31 The New Zealand wheat agreement, since it was signed in 1946. had cost the Australian taxpayers £7,102,891 covering the difference between the overseas market price and the contract price to New Zealand the Minister of Commerce and Agriculture, Mr. J. McEwen. said in the House of Representatives today in a written reply to a Question.
lie added that the present Government did not contemplate making any further agreements of that kind.
