HOUSE HAS NOT YET REACHED FINALITY IN SHEEP REPORT DEBATE
(P.R.) WELLINGTON. Aug. 13. The House of Representatives which commenced yesterday’s sitting with c preliminary discussion on the bill introduced by the Leader of the Opposition, Mr. S. G. Holland, to abolish the Legislative Council, settled down for the fourth time to discuss further the report of the Royal Commission on the Sheepfarming Industry. It again failed to reach finality which will be the adoption of a motion referring the report to the consideration of the Government Therefore the subject will be revived when the House sits on Tuesday. Government bills on the Order Paper which can be taken before the presentation of the financial statement next Thursday evening are the Occupational Therapy Bill, in charge of the Minister of Health, Miss M. Howard, the Coal Mines Amendment Bill, in charge of the Minister of Mines, Mr. A. McLagan, and the Transport Bill, In its third-reading stage.
