DISTRICT NATIONAL SAVINGS
The post offices at Gisborne and Tokomaru Bay were the chief contributors to national savings investments in the Gisborne district last week. At Gisborne £4574 was invested, while at Tokomaru Bay a further £338 was deposited. The total for the week for the Gisborne postal district was £5053. Each of the 11 main post offices in the district obtained its weekly quota.
