TOWN FLAG DAYS
Two street flag days, one in March and the other in July, were approved by the Gisborne Borough Council at its meeting on Tuesday night. The first, to be held on March 25, is to be conducted in conjunction with food-for-Britain display week, being held under the auspices of the East Coast Food-for-Britain Committee.
In July the Kaiti Memorial Park Committee is to conduct a flag day for the purpose of raising funds to improve the Memorial Park.
