New ’Phone Directories
New telephone directories are in course of being distributed in the Gisborne postal district. They are being delivered by postmen and it is expected that all telephone subscribers will have the new directories by the midle of next week.
In all, 7162 directories were printed for the district and of this number about 6300 will be distributed, the rest being kept in reserve. Subscribers on the Gisborne exchange total 4550, an increase of approximately 175 on the number recorded in last year’s directory.
