Work At Mangapoike
During the past fortnight the contractors in the Mangapoike water scheme have been engaged in filling-in work on the pipeline between the new' Mangapoike dam and Waingake. At Tuesday night’s meeting of the Gisborne Borough Council it was reported that some repair work remained to be done on the dam.
In the week ended February 28, 8,750,000 gallons of water were used in the borough, while in the preceding week the draw-off totalled 8,400,000 gallons. The rainfall at Waingake during February totalled l.Olin.
