CLIMBER’S HUNDREDTH ASCENT OF EGMONT
(P-A.) NEW PLYMOUTH, Mar. 8. A Taranaki Alpine Club member, Mr. N. Hatwell, Palmerston North, and formerly of New Plymouth, made his one hundredth ascent of Mount Egmont during the week-end. It is believed that only 10 other mountaineers have made 100 summit climbs, the last one hundredth ascent being at least 10 j'ears ago.
