TRUMAN HINTS AT RETIREMENT
WASHINGTON, Mar. _5. President Truman gave a broad hint on Saturday he will not stand for the Presidency in 1952. Speaking informally at a dinner given by the White House correspondents, the President said everything was fine around the White House except the second floor, which was about to fall down. He said he hoped the White House would be repaired by v 1952, so that “we can have it ready for the next man to move in.”
