U.S. PLANE CARRIES 269 PASSENGERS
SAN FRANCISCO, Mar. 6. A new world record air passenger and crew load of 269 persons was established last night when the U.S. Navy’s giant aircraft, Caroline Mars plane landed at Alameda naval air station after a flight of 2hr. 41min. from San Diego. This broke the previpus record of 217 persons set on a recent flight by the same machine. The four-engine plane and its crew of six and 263 passengers weighed about 160.0001 b, which is 80001 b. below its rated capacity.
