VON NIDA WINS GOLF EXHIBITION MATCH
(P.A.) NEW PLYMOUTH. Mar. 8. Norman von Nida,’Australia, defeated T. Jeffrey, New Plymouth, 1 up in an exhibition golf match played at the Ngamotu links yesterday afternoon. Heavy rain fell continuously during the match and most of the greens were partly under water. Good scoring was out of the question in the circumstances, but both players, especially von Nida produced some grand shots. Both covevered the course in 79, six over the scratch score.
