PLANS TO INCREASE ITALIAN ARMY

(11 a.m.) ROME. Feb. 9. Plans to equip the Italian Army with 12 modernised divisions of fighting men were discussed in Rome today, says the Associated Press. The army at present is believed to have only six divisions of 10,000 men each. It is presumed that America will furnish the necessary equipment and give technical guidance. The Italian Army is restricted by the Peace Treaty to 250.000 men, including 65,000 Carabinieri.
