NEW EDUCATION BOARD DEPOT FOR WORK IN GISBORNE DISTRICT
(S.R.)
NAPIER, Dec. 15
The progressive step taken by the Hawke’s Bay Education Board in setting up a workshop depot in Gisborne as a base for its construction and maintenance activities was praised by Mr. T. A. Coleman at the board meeting this week. He considered that this, together with the board’s acquisition of a truck, would greatly increase the speed and efficiency of works undertaken by the board.
Advice was received from the Education Department that a grant of £3075 had been approved for the establishment of the workshop.
