F.M. RADIOS TO BE ON SALE SOON
SYDNEY, Nov. 21
Combination FM-AM radio receivers would be on the market early next year, radio manufacturers here said today.
They believe the Government’s fre-quency-modulation broadcasts will have passed the experimental stage by then. Next year several firms will also begin making FM tuning units for FM reception on present radio sets. “We’ll give the people FM. but it’s going to make listening a lot more expensive for everybody,” one manufacturer said.
