Uncharted Antarctic Channel Surveyed

A British survey vessel has sailed through the channel between Elephant Island and Cornwall Island near the South Shetlands in the Antarctica in a hitherto uncharted area, according to a message from Falkland Island dependencies’ survey expedition. The depths of the channel varied from 112 to 676 fathoms.
