EXPLOSION IN PARIS

'(10 a.m.)

PARIS, Dec. 12.

An explosion outside the headquarters of two Jewish organisations in the west end of Paris slightly injured two waitresses in a nearby restaurant where the British Embassy staff earlier in the night had held dinner. Only a few of the British party were still in the restaurant when the explosion occurred just before 1 a.rn. The police said the explosion was caused by a plastic charge which had been placed on the iron gate of a motor-cycle shop on the ground floor of the 1 building, whose first and second floors were occupied by Jewish organisations.

A cinema and several shops and cafes in the neighbourhood were damaged.
