BANDIT THREATENS ITALIAN POLITICIANS
(10.40 a..m) ROME. Dec. 12. A *27-year-old Sicilian bandit. Salvatore Giuliano, has sent letters to 20 of Italy's Senators and Deputies threatening vengeance on their families unless Giuliano's mother and relatives are released from “forced residence.” Giuliano, with headquarters in a hill fortress, has terrorised the Palermo Province for nearly five years. The Italian Government has placed a price on his head.
