BITTERNESS TOWARDS JEWS IN ENGLAND

Anti-semitism in England was on the increase and he had noticed a definite feeling of hostility towards the Jews, said the Dean of the Cathedral Church of St. Paul, Wellington, the Rt- Rev. D. J. Davies, on his return from Britain in the Akaroa. Dean Davies, who is the first Dean of Wellington, has spent eight months overseas. The bitterness he had noticed against the Jews probably had its roots in the troubles in Palestine, said Dean Davies. People he had talked to, workers and business and professional men, felt that Britain had been very poorly paid for her generous treatment of the Palestinian Jews.
