Sale Of N.Z. Butter And Cheese Abroad

(P.A.) WELLINGTON, Dec. 13. New Zealand had an agreement with the United Kingdom Government that the Dairy Products Marketing Commission acting for New Zealand had the right to export three per cent, of the Dominion’s dairy products to countries other than the United Kingdom, the Minister of Finance, Mr. W. Nash, stated when asked to comment on the Australian report that Australia and New Zealand would sell some butter and cheese abroad at higher prices than Britain is paying. “This arrangement provides for the holding and recovering of pre-war markets for butter and cheese, and ensures that this quantity is used in the most efficient manner without extending the difficulties of the United Kingdom regarding fats.’’
