CROWN TENANCIES: LAND BOARD HAS LIMITED AGENDA
Members of the Gisborne Land Board had before it a limited agenda at its monthly meeting with Mr C. L. Cox, deputy-commissioner of Crown lands, in the chair, and with Messrs. J. Boyle, H. B. Bull, J. W. Gordon and P. T. Weeks also present. On the expiry of a temporary tenancy of Section 2, Block VIII, Matakaoa survey district, the board decided to grant a tenancy on similar terms to John Jensen.
The Waikohu County Council submitted a scheme of expenditure of accrued “fifths" amounting to £6 17s 3d, for the period ended September 19, the schedule being approved. The holder of a temporary tenancy of Lot 42, Section 13, Block IV, Waikohu S.D., C- R. Sefton, applied for approval of a transfer of the tenancy to James Davenport. The board approved the transfer and directed that the license covering an area of 3ac. 2rd. 12per. be placed in the name of the new occupant. An application was made by F. 11. McKay for a temporary tenancy of part Sections 9 and 10, Block XV, Waikohu S.D., the area being 4ne. Ord. 21 per. The board approved the application, fixing the annual rental at £4 per annum.
