Trotting Judges
Judges at trotting meetings in future will be licensed by the stipendiary stewards’ committee. This remit was brought forward by the executive of the New Zealand Trotting Conference and carried at the annual meeting in Christchurch on Friday. An Invercargill remit that in all reasonably close -finishes the judge must view a ’photo of the finish before making his decision was also carried. A decision was reached to establish a championship subsidy fund and £SOO was set aside for this' purpose.—P.A.
