King George, addressing the _ Junior Training Corps at Aldershot, said: — “I pray that we may not again have to fight to defend our country and way of life, but to be prepared morally, physically and technically is the best way not only of meeting a threat if it comes, but of preventing it from arising. . , , “Twice has your fathers and brothers’ selfless service to their country and fellowmen enabled them to stand firm against the perils which beset Britain. You are playing a real part in securing the safety of the realm and giving true service to your country by devoting time to cadet service.”
