Ngakaroa Road Extension
A request for the extension of the Ngakaroa road, Ormond, through Mr. I. H: Newman’s properly to the boundary o£ Mr. G. M. Reynolds’ property was received by the Cook County Council at yesterday’s meeting the proposal being to raise the level of part of the existing road to eliminate silting in flood periods. The council raised the question of the cost of the work, and it was stated that when the matter was mentioned previously one of the applicants had undertaken to meet the cost. The council asked the clerk and engineer to investigate the proposal from the point of view of cost and liability.
