‘BORROWED’ BROOCH BEQUEATHED TO OWNER
(P.A.) Wellington, July 22. Nearly 12 years ago a Wellington woman took a valuable brooch set with precious stones to a jeweller for repairs and, as a safety measure, had her name engraved on it. She lost the brooch while returning from the jeweller’s and no trace could be found. The brooch has now been returned by a solicitor acting under instructions from a deceased client who willed the brooch back to the owner with a request that a message be sent with it thanking the owner for the pleasure given her by the loan of it for the past 11 years.
