CANADA OUSTS REDS FROM KEY JOBS
OTTAWA, June 18.
The Canadian Government is testing the loyalty of employees in key departments with questionnaires patterned on those recently used in Britain and the United States. The tests are directed largely -.at possible Communists. The departments under examination are the External Affairs, National Defence arid National Research Council, one of whose chief functions is the handling of Canada's part in the development of atomic energy. About 23,000 employees have to answer questions going deeply into their personal histories and those of their immediate relatives.
