CZECH WORKERS DEFY GOVERNMENT BAN
LONDON, June 18. Czech Social Democratic newspaper workers, openly defying the Communist regime, have threatened to strike as a protest against the closing of their party publications, say s the British United Press correspondent in Prague. Employees of the Social Democrat publishing firm “Cia" met after an announcement that the 50-year-old “Pravo Lidu” and other party papers would be suspended as a result of the party merger with the Communists. They reviled the Vice-Premier, M. Fierlinger, when he tried to address them.
