DAMAGE TO A.A. SIGNS
Vandalism, which had resulted in several signs in the vicinity of Ruatoria being badly damaged, was reported by the A-A. (Auckland) patrol for that area, Mr. V. Stubbings, at Thursday's meeting of the Gisborne advisory committee the association. Several of the signs had disappeared from the roads and he had eventually located them in the bed of the Waianu River, said Mr. Stubbings. The matter had been reported to the police and investigations were being made in an endeavour to locate the culprits.
