SHANNON’S SECOND WIN IN AMERICA
NEW YORK. May 31
Following his failure in a minor race last week tor which he started favourite fhe Australian horse Shannon today won the 50,000-dollar Argonaut Handicap over eight furlongs and a half at the Hollywood Park racecourse. Shannon defeated Mafosta and his stablemate On Trust. Shannon carried 8.0. Mafosta 8.10 and On Trust 9.0. Shannon won by a length and a quarter in 1-42 3-5.
