R.A.F. BOMBER TEST
FLIGHT TO SINGAPORE MOBILITY OF SERVICE (10 a.m.) ' LONDON. April 28. Six Lincoln bombers and five York transport aircraft left today for Singapore to test the mobility of the bomber force and the ability of the Royal Air Force to provide at short notice a striking force on the other side of the world. They plan to reach Singapore on May 9. , , The leader is 32-year-old Squadron Leader A. K. Passmore, who. with others, escaped from Singapore in a lifeboat, reaching Australia after being at sea for about 48 days.
