EXPULSION OF M.P.
LABOUR PARTY NENNI TELEGRAM ECHO ULTIMATUM TO OTHERS (N.Z.P.A.—Reuter— Copyright.) dOam) LONDON, April 28. Mr. J. Platts-Mills. M.P-, has been expelled from the Labour Party lor his part in instigating the telegram by a number of Labour M.P.’s to Signor Nenni, leader of the Italian Left Wing Socialists, who allied with the Lornmunists in the Italian elections, the telegram wished Signor Nenni success. The Labour Party executive informed 2! othei members of the House of Commons who signed the telegram that they must undertake by May 6 to desist in future from such copduct under the threat of expulsion. The executive’s statement said that the executive for a long time had been disturbed over the activities of certain members of the Labour Party which had been considered subversive of the party's policy and the Nenni telegram was a flagrant example Mr. Platts-Mills. referring to his expulsion, said the Labour Party had excluded him because he bad tried to live up to his election pledges to fight for a free, happy, prosperous and independent Socialist Britain. The Right Wing Government had taken Britain into the war camp of Wall Street. Mr. Platts-Mills is a New Zealander.
