STRUCK BY LIGHTNING
AMERICAN AIRLINER RETURN TO ’DROME (10 a.m.) LONDON, April 23. An hour after leaving Shannon airport late last night. Pan-American Airways Constellation plane, in which Mr. E, De Valera left for Melbourne to attend the centenary celebration of the Melbourne 'diocese, was struck by lightning and returned to the airport where the passengers were taken on a relief plane.
