QUEENSLAND BOYCOTT
LABOUR DAY PROCESSION PREMIER'S STATEMENT BRISBANE, April 20. The Queensland Government and five moderate unions have boycotted the Labour Day procession on May 3 The Premier, Mr. E. M. Hanlon, said ne understood the demonstration would be merely a Communist one and that for that reason the Government would not participate. This means that the Labour Premier of the day who since Labour came into power 'in 1915 has headed the procession, will be absent. There will be a few displays and floats which are usually featured by the State Government departments, the fire brigade and the ambulance.
