ALL ROUTES OPEN
STATE OF HIGWAYS, Apart from a section of the highway at Nuhaka where the surface had been under reconstruction and the rain made the going difficult, it was reported this morning that ail routes leading out of Gisborne were open and in reasonable condition when inquiries were made by the resident patrols of the Automobile Association (Auckland). The road report was as follows: — Gisborne-Opotiki scenic highway, via East Cape.—Open. Gisborne-Opotiki, via Waioeka. — Open. Gisbornc-Wairoa, .via .Hagaroa.— Open: greasy at Hangaroa Bluffs. Gisbornc-Wairoa, via Morere.— Going heavy at Nuhaka, where road is under reconstruction.
