CAPITAL REGAINED
CONFLICT IN YEMEN (9.30 a.m.) LONDON, March 14. . A British Foreign Office spokesman said Britain had replied sympathetically to communications from the selfproclaimed Imam of Yemen. Abdullah El Wazir, but the reply had not implied recognition of either of the two warring factions in Yemen. Reuter’s correspondent in Cairo says the forces of Emir Seif El Islam Ahmed, son of the late King, entered the capital of Sana today, according to a cable signed by Ahmed received in Cairo by the Yemenite representative on the Arab League.
Sana was previously occupied by Abdullah El Wazir who proclaimed himself King. The Times correspondent at Aden says Emir Ahmed’s forces captured Sanna yesterday after minor resistance. Ahmed made a State entry into the capital today. His rivals, including Abdullah El Wazir and Ahmed's three brothers, Ibrahim, Yahya, ,and Ismal, are held captives in Sanna.
