NOT POLIOMYELITIS
Following her admission to the Cook Hospital on Tuesday and after various tests had been made, the disease contracted by a 13-year-old Maori girl at Tokomaru Bay has been re-diagnosed. When the girl first came under the supervision of the Te Puia Hospital it was thought that she had poliomyelitis and this was accordingly notified to the Health Department at Gisborne. It has now been proved that the child has not developed infantile paralysis.
