FALSE VATICAN ORDERS SECOND ARREST MADE (10.30 a.m.) LONDON, March 9. The Italian police have arrested Monsignot Edoardo Prettner Cippico, who escaped from the Vatican on March 4 'after being unfrocked for ‘falsifications and swindles,” says the British United Press correspondent in Rome, g The Vatican City press office an'J riounced that Monsignor Giulio Guid- „ etti, a former Holy See finance chief, who was detained in the Vatican apart- • ments on Sunday, has been arrested on a Charge of ‘‘having accepted as valid a falsa document compiled by Cippico.” It is stated in Vatican circles that possibly millions of lira have bean paid out on false orders.
