HASTY TRADE ACTION GENEVA, Auj. 22. The New Zealand delegate, Mr. J. P. D. Johnson, speaking at the closing stages of the trade conference, warned the nations they would, for some time, have to exercise caution and moderation in assessing some of the rules drawn up at Geneva for the International Trade Organisation. t Other delegates had referred to "recent experience” having shown that an over-hasty return to unrestricted trade was likely to defeat its own ends. Mr. Johnson added that the New Zealand delegation. had not been able to give full consideration to all the latest revisions New Zealand, therefore, was reserving its attitude to some points of the charter.
